The story of Leah

I started getting baby fever again...So what do you do when that happens? That's right, I told my husband! He wasn't quite sure about having another one yet. We talked about it for a few weeks. I found out I was pregnant before we came to a decision.

At my OBGYN office when you come in for your first prenatal visit they do a quickie ultrasound to make sure you're really pregnant...at this ultrasound they discovered that my placenta was lying low again.

This may be unbelievable...but I could feel baby move at 7 weeks. I told my Doctor that I thought I was feeling the baby move real lightly. She said it's possible since my placenta is lying so low and it's my fourth pregnancy.

This pregnancy was very hard on me...

I started getting sick around 9 weeks. This was the only pregnancy that smells bothered me. I could only keep down mashed potatoes and 7up or some kind of sparkling water. I couldn't even keep toast and plain water down.

This is me at 12 weeks with baby #3 ^ I started showing right away it seemed like.

We moved from our small 3 bedroom apartment to a house!! I was about 20 weeks when we moved, and just getting over the morning sickness stage.

We also found out the sex of the baby and... guess what?? You got it...another girl! If you're counting...that makes 3 girls for us!

About halfway through this pregnancy I started having trouble with hot feet... I know this is the oddest thing ever. My feet would get so hot it would keep me awake at night. It would also wake me up at night. It was just my feet. They would seriously feel feverish. Hot to the touch. If I wore socks that day, it would be worse. It was winter. Most likely if I was going somewhere I would be wearing socks.

Toward the end, the baby (and my belly) got so big that I couldn't even stand up straight the last week.

This is me at 39 weeks with baby #3 ^ I.got.huge. This picture was taken right before going to the hospital to have her.

Leah Ann was born at 4:36pm. Weighing 8 lbs 15 ounces and 20 inches long.

At the hospital she was a little jaundice. So when we went home we had to use the billi-blanket.

She had to keep going to get her heal poked to draw blood to check her jaundice levels every few days.

When she was finally done needing the billi-blanket...we were able to get pictures!!

Now...today is her 2nd birthday!!

She's 2!!

Confetti Mint Cookies

Recipe Wednesday!!!

Confetti Mint Cookies

Ok, so I was going to post this for Christmas but it didn't work out. So here it is...late.

Ingredients:
- 1 box cake mix (any kind)
- 2 eggs
- 1 stick of butter
- 1 bag chocolate chips (any kind)

What I LOVE about this recipe is you can make it any kind of cookie!  I was making Christmas cookies, so I used the holiday confetti cake mix with the Ande mint chips... A-MA-ZING...

But I've also just used yellow cake mix with regular chocolate chip cookies.

Be creative...try something fun...

Anyway...

Preheat oven to 350

Mix cake mix, eggs, and melted butter in a bowl.

Then mix in the chips.

Now, at this point you have 2 choices... you can either roll them out like cookies on a cookie sheet, or you can put all the dough into a cake pan and bake it like that.

I've done it both ways and they both turn out great.

My girls like to help so I let them roll the dough out. It's more fun for them. I give them each a cookie sheet so they have their own.

They end up looking something like this when the girls help...

Put them in the oven for about 6 min.

Rotate them so the ones in the back don't get burned, and set the timer for another 4-5 min.

And...the end product!!

I mean, seriously, do these not look amazing or what? AND, they were SO easy to make!

SOOOO GOOD!!

Minty perfection!!

Enjoy!!
